EXTERIOR LOG SIDING

Any home can achieve a stunning lodge or log cabin look with Cedar log siding or Pine log siding. We can use Cedar log siding or Pine log siding products when building from the ground up, or add it to the exterior of your existing conventional frame structure, transforming almost any house into a log home at a fraction of the cost.

Northern White Cedar is a great choice for Cedar log siding because it’s easy to work with, low maintenance and less expensive than other wood siding options. Some of its other benefits include:

  • Beauty: Left untreated, Cedar log siding adds warmth and beauty that help your home blend in with its natural surroundings. Through the years it will age to a soft, silvery gray, adding even more rustic charm to your exterior. Cedar log siding also is versatile, and it be painted or refinished if you want your home to stand out. And let’s not forgot about that incredible Cedar smell!
  • Durability: Cedar is one of nature’s toughest woods, making it a perfect building material for outdoor wood siding projects. Cedar log siding is naturally impervious to damaging rot and insects such as termites and post beetles. Over time, this long-lasting material resists cupping, warping and splitting.
  • Weather Resistance: Cedar log siding can stand up to harsh elements such as high winds, rain, snow, and hail. It’s also a great insulator that beats high heat and bitter cold, helping to keep your home’s interior cozy and comfortable year-round — and saving you money on your heating and cooling bills.
  • Environmentally Friendly: Cedar log siding not only helps you save energy, but also it requires very little processing and treatment compared to other building products. Cedar is biodegradable, and Heartwood Mills sources it through environmentally friendly forestry.

Heartwood Mills offers a variety of Northern White Cedar and White Pine log siding sizes and textures to complement your home project. Together, we can create your dream log home. Give us a call or contact us today.
